Kasson-Mantorville School Board selects new superintendent

(ABC 6 News) — Six months after former superintendent Mark Matuska resigned, the Kasson-Mantorville School Board has chosen his replacement.

According to a press release sent on Thursday, the board has selected Theodore Ihns to lead the district.

In the press release, School Board Chair Kent Harfmann said, “Ted Ihns brings a wealth of experience and a proven record of outstanding leadership to Kasson-Mantorville School District. His exceptional relationship skills and communication prowess exemplify the qualities we believe will drive our district’s continued success. We are confident that under Ted’s guidance, our commitment to excellence will thrive, fostering a positive and innovative learning environment for all.”

The school board is expected to approve Ihns’ contract on March 5 and he’s expected to start on July 1.
