(ABC 6 News) – A bill allowing Iowa minors to work unsupervised in some child care setting has passed the Iowa House.

House File 2305 allows 16 and 17-year-olds to care for children under the age of 5 without another adult in the room.

The allowances would only qualify for young children’s nap time or instances of less than five minutes.

The bill still needs Senate approval.
