Gov. Walz joins efforts to maintain abortion pill accessibility

(ABC 6 News) – Governor Tim Walz says he will join multiple other governors in sending the U.S. Supreme Court a “Friend of the Court” brief.
This comes in connection to a case litigating the FDA’s approval of mifepristone, a drug frequently used in medical abortion procedures.
The governors’ brief argues upholding the fifth circuit decision to limit the FDA’s authority on the drug would have “far-reaching implications beyond reproductive healthcare.”
The Supreme Court justices will hear arguments later this spring.
