Clear Lake officer promoted to captain

(ABC 6 News) – Earlier today, the Clear Lake Police Department announced the promotion of Lieutenant Brandon Heinz to captain.
Heinz will officially be sworn in as captain on Feb. 19 during Clear Lake City Council Meeting.
Heinz has served with Clear Lake Police Department since April 2015 and promoted to lieutenant in September 2020.
As lieutenant, Heinz was assigned to afternoon shifts as the Watch Commander.
Heinz previously held the rank of sergeant as a jailer with Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office.
Heinz will take on the duties of Division Commander for the Uniform Patrol and Criminal Investigation Divisions.
