Chatfield man pleads guilty to sexual conduct with child

(ABC 6 News) – A Chatfield man accused of sexually assaulting two children in 2014, 2016, and 2017 pleaded guilty to two of six criminal sexual conduct charges in Olmsted County Court.

Kenneth Archer Holt, 43, was scheduled to appear for a pretrial hearing on the charges Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2024.

He entered a guilty plea to two charges of 2nd-degree criminal sexual conduct with a child under age 13 in exchange for a recommendation that the court dismiss the remaining charges and sentence him to three years’ probation with no additional jail time.

Holt’s plea agreement states that the agreement is for a recommendation only, and a judge could sentence him to some jail time contrary to the recommendation.

He will be required to register as a predatory offender, according to the plea agreement.

Holt’s sentencing is scheduled for May 15, 2024.

(ABC 6 News) – A Chatfield man accused of sexually assaulting two children in 2014, 2016, and 2017 will stand trial on six criminal sexual conduct charges in October of 2023.

Kenneth Archer Holt, 42, faces six charges of criminal sexual conduct with two girls who disclosed the alleged abuse to an adult witness in June of this year.

Holt’s pretrial is scheduled for October 12, 2023, with a jury trial beginning October 16.

According to court documents, the victims testified that Holt touched their chests and genitals, both above and below clothing, on several occasions when they were alone together.

According to the dates listed, the victims were aged 7 or 8 and 10 or 11 when the abuse began.
