(ABC 6 NEWS) – Finding a place to live can be tough for any family and one Rochester organization, Habitat for Humanity, is lending a helping hand to one family.

Construction began on the Rochester home in June. Two Rivers Habitat for Humanity is hoping to have the home complete for Jacki Hofmeister just in time for Christmas.

She’s a mom of two kids currently making ends meet in an apartment in town.

But this home will change her life, seeing the future being built right in front of her eyes is something that she’ll never forget.

“It’s incredible I really don’t even have one kind of actually emotional nurse there is a lot of help up Arizona journey of lots of get to where we are at I mean they’re just great people,” Hofmeister said.

Home building is the mission of Two Rivers Habitat for Humanity.

Wells Fargo teamed up with the organization to help with construction on Wednesday, but the need for volunteers is always there.

“You don’t have to be an expert. You haven’t even needed to swing a hammer before, you don’t have to know anything about construction, we have a great construction crew that will provide instruction, so if you want to start some DIY projects at home, and you want to get some tips, it’s a great opportunity to do that,” Pat Heydon, the executive director at Two Rivers Habitat for Humanity said.
