Police release names of suspects in Saturday shooting in Rochester

Two men are behind bars after a shooting in Rochester. It happened on Saturday afternoon near Chick-Fil-A. One man was shot and taken to Mayo Clinic Hospital, Saint Marys Campus where he died from his injuries.

(ABC 6 News) – Two men are behind bars after a shooting in Rochester. It happened on Saturday afternoon near Chick-Fil-A. One man was shot and taken to Mayo Clinic Hospital, Saint Marys Campus where he died from his injuries.

According to the Rochester Police Department, the suspects have been identified as Jose Gutierrez Ojeda and Isaac Gutierrez.

Jose is facing a charge of 2nd-degree assault substantial bodily harms with a dangerous weapon. Isaac is facing a 2nd-degree murder charge.

RPD received a call of multiple shots fired at 1201 Broadway Avenue South around 2:12 p.m.

According to RPD, one man was transported to the emergency department at Mayo Clinic, Saint Marys.

Police are holding two other men are in custody.

The preliminary investigation indicates an altercation occurred preceding the shooting.

Police add there is no threat to the public.
