9th Annual Bowling for the Battle in Austin

(ABC 6 News) – The Austin community gathered at Echo Lanes for the 9th annual Bowling for the Battle.
Bowling for the Battle is a fundraiser for prostate cancer research at the Hormel Institute.
The alleys were packed as many showed their support for the cause.
Jason Maschka was one of the event organizers and he said, “Without these people here this doesn’t happen, you know we’re just the fortunate ones that get to pull it together every year and these people here are bowling for the battle.”
After a long day of bowling-a live and silent auction was held.
All proceeds went towards prostate cancer research at the Hormel Institute.
Bowling for the Battle has raised over $351,000 throughout its history.
