(ABC 6 News) – In Albert Lea, applications are now open for the 2024 Citizens Academy.
The program allows people to get an inside look at the day-to-day life of local law enforcement.
The program begins on Thursday, March 14, and is held every Thursday through May.
If you want to get involved, you must live in Albert Lea, be over 18 and pass a criminal background check.
The deadline to apply is Feb. 19.
Residents of Albert Lea are encouraged to apply at Freeborn County Law Enforcement Center, City Hall or by emailing Officer Kristen Steinberg at ksteinberg@ci.albertlea.mn.us.
