2023-24 girls’ duals hit the mat on Sunday

(ABC 6 News) – On Sunday, wrestlers will gather in Albert Lea for this year’s Girls Duals.
Over the last few years, the popularity of female wrestling has ignited Minnesota, leaving event organizers to look for a new venue for 2024’s duals.
On Sunday, 120 K through 8th graders will compete in 14 weight classes.
Not only will there be some great matches, but the event will provide an opportunity for other girls to come find a positive athletic outlet.
Wrestling starts on Sunday at 10 a.m. at Albert Lea High School.
