Wintry mix/snow this evening into Wednesday

A couple bands of wintry mix of rain/snow will be moving in from the southwest. This evening will see a pop of it build in and another band will motor through early Wednesday just before sunrise.

The scenario is overall warm and we’ll see a fair amount of melting of the snow that does fall. We’ll struggle to accumulate less than 1″ of snow, especially on the Minnesota side of the border. Icing will be minimal as temps largely stay above freezing in the stretch. There will be exceptions, so with that in mind, a minor icing is possible for those who do drop below freezing.

We’ll be monitoring for a few slippery spots that try to arise. But overall impact on the travel scene looks to be minimal from what is expected.
