Warmer Temps & Light Mixes This Week

We are tracking warmer air, with highs in the middle to upper 30s, pushing into the area starting Wednesday. The warmer air will carry over through the New Year’s weekend & into the first week of 2023. This is good, but also a little concerning. Good, because we could all use this warm-up following our Christmas freeze, but not-so-good, as it means any kind of precipitation we see, could be a little of everything; rain, sleet, freezing rain, & snow, as temperatures are hovering around 32°. Right now the chances we have Thursday, Friday, & Saturday PM-early Sunday look minor with no major impacts expected. A more potent storm system will try to move in early next week, later in the day on Monday. This will be the one to watch pretty closely for potential impacts to the area.
