Record warmth possible through Thursday

The early “spring fling” that is gripping the area this week will continue for a couple of more days leading to the potential for more record temperatures.

Highs on Wednesday are expected to be in the low-to-mid 50s with mid-to-upper 50s likely on Thursday. Record high temperatures will likely be broken for many communities in the ABC 6 Weather First area during this period.

The last time Rochester had four consecutive days of record-breaking high temperatures in a February was in 2017, during the stretch of February 18-22. The longest February stretch is six days from February 19-24 in 1930.

Temperatures are expected to cooldown after a cold front slides through Thursday night with highs in the 30s from Friday into next week.
