Rain, snow shower possible early Tuesday

A system will dive south from Canada through the upper Midwest on Monday night into Tuesday leading to the chance of precipitation.

This system doesn’t have a lot of moisture to work with, but as it pushes through the area, some instability will help squeeze out the remaining moisture. Temperatures are expected to be in the low-to-mid 30s so a rain and/or snow shower, or a mix, is certainly possible. The system will exit the area by late morning with precipitation chances decreasing.

After the system passes, the clouds will hold on through the rest of the day.

High temperatures will be slightly cooler than Monday, but still will be above average in the mid-to-upper 30s.
