Quiet, mild weekend ahead

The mild weather is on a roll with winter not anywhere in sight.

A cold front will slide through the area on Thursday with cooler air settling in behind it on Friday. High temperatures will go from the 40s on Thursday to the upper 30s on Friday, which is still more than 10° above average for early February.

High pressure will build in over the Great Lakes keeping any precipitation to the south over the weekend with dry weather expected locally.

High temperatures will get a boost back into the mid-40s for both Saturday and Sunday. Night lows will be in the upper 20s to lower 30s.

Saturday through the middle of next week, high temperatures will be around 20° to 25° above average as winter’s absence continues.

The next precipitation chance may come toward the second half of next week.
