Quiet, mild stretch continues through most of this week

There aren’t too many changes in front of us for a few days. Temperatures will remain well above average through this week, but below record territory. A storm system and a cold front will pass through here Friday into Saturday, dropping temperatures for the weekend and offering up a slight chance of rain Friday.

Meanwhile, we’re seeing a few, passing high clouds and temperatures are mild with a light wind. We’ll see a bit more cloud cover late Wednesday, mainly thin clouds so another bright day is ahead. Clouds will continue to increase Thursday through Friday with an approaching storm system. Unfortunately, the storm track for the system at the end of the week is too far to our south to have a substantial impact on us. There is a slight chance of rain on Friday with the more likely area to receive rain being northeast Iowa.

This weekend will be gusty and cooler Saturday. Winds will relax a bit on Sunday and temperatures will top out in the mid-40s both Saturday and Sunday. Next week is going to warm up again with highs returning to the lower 60s.
