Near-record breaking Monday

Winter continues to “no-show” as warmer than average temperatures continue to start the week.

High temperatures on Monday are expected to climb into the upper 40s for most, however some communities in north Iowa may get a crack at 50° which will approach record territory for the date.

Clouds will filter into the area from time-to-time resulting in an at times partly sunny day. The sky is expected to clear late in the night heading into Tuesday.

The wind is also expected to be light out of the north around 5-10 mph.
