Mild Pacific air to send Arctic air back home

Arctic air will continue to have its grip over the area for the foreseeable future, however it’ll eventually retreat back north by next week as mild Pacific air moves in its place sending temperatures back to above average.

High temperatures will be in the single digits above zero with night lows in the single digits to teens below zero through Saturday before the Arctic air begins to retreat on Sunday as highs climb into the upper teens to lower 20s.

The mild Pacific air surges in starting Monday and will be overhead through the middle of next week with high temperatures in the mid-30s which is more than 10° above average for mid-January.
