Light rain/freezing rain possible on Thursday

It’s been a week of clouds, fog and overall dreary weather and that’ll look to carry over into Thursday.

Some areas of fog will be around once again under a thick blanket of clouds as moisture continues to pool in from the south combined with melting snow from warmer than average temperatures.

A passing wave will be enough to produce some light freezing drizzle and/or drizzle Thursday morning as temperatures will be hovering near the freezing mark. Some icy spots will be possible in areas that do see some freezing drizzle. As temperatures climb to above freezing by afternoon, the precipitation type is expected to be rain.

The bulk of the precipitation is expected to stay south and east into northeast Iowa and southwest Wisconsin.

Any precipitation amounts are expected to be light and generally near or under 0.10″.

Precipitation will come to end Thursday evening as the moisture gets shunted further east by the passing wave.
