Highs into record territory Wednesday; mild weather continues into February

Cloud cover made its way back this Tuesday after a warm Monday, and it’s looking like sunshine will make another return Wednesday afternoon. The high on Wednesday hinges on sunshine, and there is optimism that we’ll see the clouds break over the course of Wednesday morning. The going forecast is for highs around 50° Wednesday afternoon, which will set records across the area again, just like this past Monday.

Thursday is looking nice and bright as well, although temperatures will moderate a bit and drop into the low- to mid-40s for highs. More cloud cover returns for the end of the week and start of the weekend, keeping highs closer to 40°, which is still well above average for this time of year.

This mild trend is going to continue through at least the 8th of February with highs around 40°, if not slightly warmer. Overnight lows will still dip below the freezing mark. Whatever is left of the snow will be disappearing quickly in the coming days.
