Heavy Snow Tuesday-Thursday

We are looking at two waves of heavy snow to pass through; the first would be Tuesday night/Wednesday morning; the second would be Wednesday night/Thursday morning. The heaviest totals are more likely to take place in southern Minnesota, but both waves could potentially feature snow falling at around an inch per hour. With the timing of this being early in the day both Wednesday and Thursday, it will be nearly impossible to drive on the morning commute. By the time the snow wraps up later in the day Thursday, we are looking at the highest snowfall totals being north of 10″, which will be most likely for those who live north of I-90. Those who live in northern Iowa will fall short of that mark, but could still see at least a few inches.
