Colder by the weekend with temperatures closer to average

High temperatures will be running well above average through the middle of the week before some polar air finds its way south into the area knocking temperatures back to near average.

A quick round of accumulation snow will be likely Wednesday night into Thursday morning followed by high pressure building in which will bring some polar air with it as temperatures cool off heading into the weekend.

High temperatures will be in the 30s and 40s through Wednesday with the colder air settling in on Thursday with highs in the low 30s and eventually the 20s on Friday and Saturday which is near average for mid-February. Night lows are expected to be cold in the teens.

High temperatures will bounce back into the mid-30s on Sunday which will carry over into the new week.
