Cloudy, cool with precipitation likely Monday

The week will get off to a cloudy and cool start as the record-breaking temperatures of the 70s are long gone.

A system will track across the region as a cold front slides southeast through the area leading to rain developing by late morning. Temperatures will be cool enough where a mix of snow and sleet is possible at times.

Precipitation will end by late afternoon with most areas seeing light amounts around 0.10″ to 0.20″. Higher totals are possible further southeast into northeast Iowa and southwest Wisconsin.

Clouds, precipitation and a light north wind will keep high temperatures running cool although still above average in the 40s.
