Clouds decrease into Tuesday, more precipitation late this week

After a mix of rain and sleet Monday afternoon, clouds will be slowly decreasing late this evening, making way for a brighter Tuesday. This wave wasn’t much for us, with precipitation amounts remaining minor. It’s looking like a better chance for more of a soak late this week.

Meanwhile, we’ve got a mild, sunny day ahead for Tuesday. Temperatures won’t be breaking any records, and there aren’t 70 degree highs in front of us right now, but highs in the mid-40s are still well above average for this time of the year. We’re in for more sunshine both Tuesday and Wednesday before another storm system brings the potential of rain Thursday and a change from rain to snow on Friday. Amounts of snow are not looking to be significant Friday, it will just be nice to get some moisture on the ground.

The overall trend through this week and into the start of next week is for mild weather to continue. We “spring ahead” this weekend, and more mild weather with highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s is on tap after our time change.
