Arctic air lingers with cold start to weekend

Another shot of Arctic air has made its way into the ABC 6 Weather First area after the clipper system passed through on Thursday that brought some light snow to the area.

High temperatures on Friday will only manage in the single digits. Wind chills (feels-like) will be in the range of -10° to -20° throughout much of the day.

Another WIND CHILL ADVISORY goes back into effect Friday night through Saturday morning as wind chills are expected to once again be at dangerous levels around -20° to -25°.

High pressure will build in on Friday night clearing out the clouds and leading to a bright and sunny Saturday, but it will be cold with high temperatures again in the single digits.

The high pressure scoots to the southeast of the area on Sunday with southerly winds taking over gusting to around 35-40 mph which will boost temperatures to near 20°.

The mild air continues to move in on Monday and throughout next week with high temperatures in the 30s and night lows in the 20s and 30s.
