A few snowflakes early Tuesday, otherwise mild and quiet

After a beautifully bright Monday, a weak storm system will be moving into southern Minnesota, northern Iowa, and most of Wisconsin Monday night through Tuesday morning. There will be some light snow mixed with rain between 4am-10am Tuesday, but we’re not expecting much at all for any accumulation. Temperatures will remain just above freezing overnight and top out in the mid to upper-30s Tuesday afternoon.

Sunshine will make a return Wednesday, and we’re in store for another unusually mild day. Highs will make their way back to the mid-40s to nearly 50° Wednesday afternoon.

The last half of the week, the first weekend of February, and next week are looking to remain unusually mild. Overnight lows will drop below freezing while daytime highs will be in the upper 30s to around 40°. There are no significant storm systems on the horizon at this time.
