(ABC 6 News) – Wind Down Wednesdays are back on Broadway in downtown Albert Lea. Food trucks, live music, local craft vendors, and activities for the kids lined downtown for the first event since 2019.

Organizers say after COVID caused the two year hiatus, having this event back is not only good for the businesses but the entire community.

"So you get to be in the street, you get to dance, you get to eat food, you get to have cold beverages. It kind of feels rebellious like this is one of the busiest streets in Albert Lea. We get to shut it down and just have a party. So, it’s a great way for all of our community together and have a great summer day together," said the Executive Director of Albert Lea Main Street Program Holly Karsjens.

The next Wind Down Wednesday will be on July 20th from 11a.m. to 8p.m.
