(ABC 6 News) — The Minnesota Vikings will have some competition in the offensive line this summer and there was a rookie in camp this weekend who could find himself in the starting lineup.

Ed Ingram was a 4-year starter at LSU and graded out as the best pass-blocking guard in the SEC last season. The Vikings got him in the second round.

Ingram comes with some baggage. He was accused of sexual assault in 2018 but the charges were later dropped. Ingram says he is here to play football.

"As soon as I walked out on the field, I was like this is like a dream, I mean I’m here now," Ingram said. "I got the opportunity and I’m going to take advantage of it. It’s fun just to come out here with the other rookies and just enjoy this experience and it’s fun just to be playing football again."

The Vikings will start their voluntary off-season training program this week.
