(ABC 6 News) – CERT, or Community Engagement Response Team, is a local group of volunteers in Rochester that works alongside law enforcement and helps to make our streets safer.
The group is seeking more volunteers, but there’s much more to their story. Members of CERT have an internet talk show that continues to grow its audience, focusing on national and local issues that are especially important to people of color.
Olandis White, a C.E.R.T. coordinator, went in-depth on how her background in social work has impacted her work with C.E.R.T.
