(ABC 6 News) – Court documents filed last week and Monday indicate that Thomas Lee Meyer of Rochester will plead guilty to one or more child pornography charges Wednesday.

Meyer, 53, was accused of 10 counts of possession of pornography, including child pornography, on Dec. 16, 2020, after a witness told Rochester police to search a device in his possession.

Meyer spoke to Rochester police in March of 2020 and admitted to viewing child pornography on his phone, according to his criminal complaint.

He was charged in December of the same year.

According to court documents, Meyer failed to appear at a contested omnibus hearing on March 14, 2022, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Meyer was arrested March 16.

Another contested omnibus hearing was scheduled for Aug. 3, 2022.

However, the Olmsted County Attorney’s office filed a court document July 28 indicating that Meyer no longer plans to contest the charges, and will enter a guilty plea Wednesday.

Meyer’s defense attorney confirmed that he plans to enter a guilty plea in Olmsted County Court.

The plea hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
