Thrift or Treat pop-up shop held in Rochester

(ABC 6 News) – A pop-up shop was held in Rochester called ‘Thrift or Treat’ on Sunday.

The pop-up was put on by Minnesota Thrifter and Mauxvelli, two small businesses, selling records, vintage clothes like jackets and fleece, streetwear and sneakers.

They were also running a buy-sell-trade on this event so people could bring in vintage threads of their own.

Minnesota Thrifter and Mauxvelli have been doing these kinds of pop-up events every few weeks and they said they had a great turnout today.

"It was really good despite it being a little more chilly out. A lot of people came in and just hung out for a little bit and bought some clothes. A lot of people stocked up on warm stuff for winter," Maxwell Haydon, founder & creator of Mauxvelli, said.

This location, 309 South Broadway, will soon be open as ‘Treedome Creative Studio and Shop’ on Nov. 19. The store will be the first of its kind in Rochester selling records and vintage clothing.
