Suspect charged Friday in connection to Austin man found dead in his home
(ABC 6 News) – One of the suspects accused of being connected to the death of an Austin man appeared in court Friday.
18-year-old Francisco Silva appeared in front of a judge Friday morning and has been charged with aid and abet 2nd-degree murder while committing a felony, aid and abet aggravated robbery and aid and abet 1st-degree assault. His bail has been set at $500,000.
Silva is one of three people that have been arrested in connection with the death of 75-year-old William Hall. Police said the other two suspects are juveniles.
William Hall was found dead in his home on October 13.
Upon reviewing security video and conducting interviews, police believe Hall was surprised by a group of young men who had come to his house with the intent to steal from him. During the encounter, Hall was pushed down and when he tried to get back up he was hit in the face. Police said this left him seriously injured and would be later found dead in that area.
