SEMN Toys for Tots receives check for 2022 season

(ABC 6 News) – As Toys for Toys wrapped up for the holiday season, they received a generous gift to get them ready for next year.

Rochester Motor Cars presented a check for $7,500 to the group, which will go toward toys for kids next year.

On Monday night, organizers and volunteers met to sort toys for next year.

And for organizer Vince Reynolds, seeing volunteers come together to help give back to the community is special to him.

"All of us are volunteers, we work day jobs, we do this when we can. A lot of the people here have donated hundreds of hours here in this campaign, it’s really remarkable. We do this because we want to help our community. That’s what it’s all about, people helping people," Vince Reynolds, Coordinator for Toys for Tots Southeastern Minnesota said.

So far, Toys for Tots is estimating they have distributed more than 26,000 toys. Bringing joy to more than 7,000 kids across the region.
