(ABC 6 NEWS) – Starting November first, bright and early, seasonal parking is back in Rochester.

Parking is allowed on the side of the street with even house numbers on when the calendar date is even.

The same goes with odd-numbered homes when the calendar date is odd.

"It doesn’t matter the weather, rain or shine, snow on the road or not," Megan Moeller, communications coordinator for the City of Rochester, said.

These requirements are in effect from 2 a.m. to 3 p.m. every day.

"This time of the year it’s the end of the season maintenance activities: street sweeping getting right up to that curb line, moving that debris from the curb line so it doesn’t go into our rivers or streams or clog a storm drain. And then once the snow does start to fly, it allows the snow plows to clear all the way up to the curb," Moeller said.

A 35 dollar fine is at stake if you don’t comply.

This will end on April first.
