Salvation Army to host traditional Thanksgiving Meal in Rochester

(ABC 6 News) – The Salvation Army of Rochester, MN is hosting a traditional Thanksgiving meal from 11:30am-1:00pm on Thanksgiving Day at their downtown Social Services Center.

The menu will consist of turkey, stuffing, potatoes, veggies, and pumpkin pie for dessert. The pies were generously donated by the Hy-Vee stores in Rochester, and the rest of the meal has been sponsored by Scheels of Rochester.

‘We are so lucky to have such generous supporters in this community,” said Major Lisa Mueller, Corps Officer of The Salvation Army in Rochester, “This meal is for anyone in need of companionship on Thanksgiving, those who maybe don’t have it in their budget to make a traditional Thanksgiving meal. We want everyone to know they are welcome and we are happy to serve them.”

The Salvation Army has the volunteers it needs for this event, but those interested are still encouraged to attend, enjoy a meal, and make someone smile.
