RPU rate increase nears approval by council

(ABC 6 News) Tuesday afternoon Rochester Public Utilities Board of Directors approved a rate increase along with the public utilities budget. It will now go back to the Rochester City Council for final approval at next week’s meeting.

RPU says that changes in electric rates will result in an average monthly increase of $2.29 for a residential customer and water rates will rise, on the average, of less than a dollar in 2022.
