RPD: Man assaulted, loses consciousness while walking in NW Rochester

(ABC 6 News) – The Rochester Police Department said a 23-year-old man was walking to a friend’s house Friday morning when he was assaulted.

Police said the man had gone to the Casey’s on 7th St NW and Valleyhigh Drive NW around 7 a.m. He then left and started walking on Valleyhigh Drive NW to go to a friend’s house.

He told police three white men attacked him from behind. They reportedly punched and kicked the man until he lost consciousness. When the man woke up about an hour and a half later he called a family member to take him to the hospital.

The three men took the items the victim had purchased at Casey’s but the man still had his wallet, phone and some other belongings when he woke up.

Police said the man had different injuries with the most significant injury to his jaw.

No suspect descriptions were provided.
