Rochester Salvation Army reaches Christmas fundraising goal

(ABC 6 News) — The Rochester Salvation Army has reached its Christmas fundriasing goal of $1.125 million dollars, and that number could grow.

The Salvation Army is continuing to recieve gifts for its Christmas campaign, so the totals could get higher. The campaign included the annual Red Kettle Season.

The Salvation Army uses the money from the Christmas campaign, and other fundraisers, to help people in the community with things like food, healthcare, and housing.

The Army’s next fundraiser will be the Taste of the Town event which is scheduled for Friday, April 1.
