Rochester man takes plea deal in child pornography cases

(ABC 6 News) – A Rochester man facing 60 various charges of possessing porn, most of which involve minors, took a plea deal Monday.

27-year-old Arkady Pichurin appeared in Olmsted County District Court, where he agreed to plead guilty to 10 charges of possession of child porn on a computer device.

As part of that plea agreement, the other 50 various charges were dismissed.

The charges stem from a search of several of Pichurin’s devices that began in December of 2020. The 60 charges span across five separate cases. Police believe he is not currently producing or sharing any child pornography.

In September, Pichurin pleaded guilty in federal court to producing sexually explicit images and videos of a minor.

Sentencing for Pichurin is scheduled for April 4, 2022. His federal sentencing is set for March 9, 2022.
