Rochester bicyclist walks away with scrapes, bruises after being hit by car

HAVERHILL TOWNSHIP, Minn (ABC 6 News) – A Rochester bicyclist was not seriously hurt after being hit by a car Thursday afternoon.

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office said the 30-year-old woman was riding her bike south on Hadley Valley NE toward 48th St in Haverhill Township just before 2 p.m. The bicyclist went through a stop sign and turned to head east on 48th St in front of a car and was hit.

The sheriff’s office said the woman was wearing a helmet at the time and received minor scrapes and bruises.

The driver of the car has been identified as a 66-year-old man from Rochester.
