Rochester automotive supply store damaged by fire, cause unknown

(ABC 6 News) – Fire, water and smoke damage reported after a contained fire at an automotive supply store off Highway 52 north in Rochester Tuesday morning.

According to the Rochester Fire Department, crews were called to Truckin’ America around 9:30 a.m. for a report of smoke inside the building. Crews found heavy smoke inside the building coming from a locked office, and light smoke coming from a rooftop HVAC unit directly above the office.

Crews forced their way into the office and put out the fire. The fire department said there is fire and water damage to the office, and smoke damage throughout the building.

All customers and employees were able to safely evacuate the building and no one was injured.

The Fire Marshal Division is now investigating the cause of the fire.
