Red Wing native announces bid for CD1 seat

(ABC 6 News) – A Red Wing business owner has announced his candidacy for the upcoming special election in Congressional District 1.

Richard DeVoe is the owner of Fair Trade Books, an independent small business in Red Wing.

DeVoe will run in the Democratic Primary and intends to demonstrate in his campaign what it means to be a "Better Democrat." He will be calling upon all Democrats to step up and help change the Party for the better.

Mr. DeVoe will speak about the changes the Party must make when he makes his formal announcement, which will be on Monday, February 28, 5 p.m., in front of the post office in his hometown of Red Wing.
