Police receive several calls reporting shots fired, no damage or injuries

(ABC 6 News) – Rochester Police are investigating after several people reported hearing shots fired early Saturday morning.

Police received a call from a person driving on 15th Ave near 8 1/2 St SE around 12:230 a.m. who saw two vehicles quickly approaching him. He told police he heard what he thought were multiple gunshots and thought he saw muzzle flashes. He turned off the road and the two vehicles kept going.

Dispatch received another call from someone in the area saying they heard the gunshots as well. When officers arrived at the scene another person approached them and said they heard the shots.

Officers searched the area and didn’t find anyone, any shell casings or damage. No injuries have been reported.
