Pine Island home destroyed after fire

(ABC 6 NEWS) – The Pine Island Fire Department said a home is destroyed after a fire early Saturday morning.
The Pine Island fire department was sent to the 400 block of 4th St. SW in Pine Island around 1:35 a.m. on Saturday for a house fire.
Crews arrived and found fire and smoke coming from the house.
The homeowners told the fire department they woke up to smoke alarms and got out.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and the Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office assisted in the fire.
The home and its contents are considered a total loss.
