One hurt in crash on Highway 14 near Byron Friday morning

(ABC 6 News) — Highway 14 was down to one lane during the morning commute on Friday after a crash near 60 Ave NW.

It happened around 7 a.m. The Minnesota State Patrol said the Ram pickup driven by a 36-year-old from Louisberg was heading east on Highway 14 when it stopped to head north on 60th Ave NW.

A Ford Fusion driven by 46-year-old Matthew Stensgard of Pine Island was headed west on Highway 14 when the two vehicles collided.

The driver of the truck was not hurt. Stensgard was brought to Saint Marys but was not seriously hurt.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash and alcohol is not believed to be a factor.

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office and the Rochester Fire Department were both on scene. No word yet on any injuries.
