(ABC 6 News) – Do you worry about your teen when they leave the house and get in a vehicle with another teen driver? Or what about your child in a vehicle with another driver that isn’t you? It’s a constant worry for parents who don’t always feel safe when their child is out on the roads.

There’s a new nationwide campaign called "Speak Up For Your Own Safety" started by Candace Lightner, founder of MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) in an effort to help stop these fatal accidents. ABC 6 spoke with Michelle Anderson, the director of Persons for the National Road Safety Foundation to learn more about this initiative and how you can get involved.
