(ABC 6 NEWS) – A popular Rochester event is back, NerdinOut Con!

The event was canceled last year because of the pandemic, but soon vendors, special guests, and people of all ages will gather inside the Mayo Civic Center.

"There’s something for everybody to experience, it’s not just for comic book fans, It’s for toy fans and pop culture fans. If you remember watching TV shows back in the day with your family, whether you watched wrestling, Power Rangers, Star Wars, whatever it is there’s something for everyone to see and experience here and just to have a really good time," said Brad Vigesaa, owner of NerdinOut.

Guests will be required to wear face masks.

Something new Vigesaa and his team implemented to keep guests safe is bracelets. For example, if you wear green you can be close to other people. If you choose red, you can choose to keep your distance.

Even with these new safety measures, Vigesaa just wants to see people have fun together again.

"Just seeing whoever comes through those doors, is what makes it exciting for me. It’s what I put so much into it for, I don’t get paid for this, so for me, people’s happiness is what it comes down to," said Vigesaa.

Tickets can be purchased at the door.

They expect around 6,000 people to attend this year.
