MN grant program accelerates licensing for foreign medical professionals

(ABC 6 News) – Internationally trained medical professionals are being allowed to become certified in Minnesota to help address the healthcare worker shortage. Many of these professionals are from foreign countries who would have to go through lengthy licensing procedures to get certified in the United States.

Because of the current staffing issues, state departments are easing up on the process.

MN DEED commissioner Steve Grove went in-depth on the new grant program and how it will address this particular issue.
