Firsthand experience in aftermath of Iowa tornadoes

(ABC 6 News) – Seven people were killed, including two children, when several tornadoes swept through central Iowa, destroying homes and knocking down trees and power lines in the state’s deadliest storm in more than a decade.
The National Weather Service confirmed Monday it was an EF4 tornado with winds up to 170 miles per hour.

The storm leveled homes and communities with at least 50 houses destroyed in the town of Winterset – just outside of Des Moines.
ABC 6 Chief Meteorologist Chris Kuball was in that area visiting family over the weekend and shares his experiences of the damage and helping family friends clean up after their home was destroyed.
