First Avenue reopens in downtown Rochester

(ABC 6 News) – Rochester leaders are excited to share another Heart of the City project milestone.

After more than a year, First Avenue between Second Street and Center street will be open to vehicles and pedestrian traffic.

The new curbless two-way street is now going to be much safer and accessible. Parallel parking are included on both the south and north ends of First Avenue.

The project team continues to focus on opening areas of the project as they are completed. Some areas will continue to be adjusted after opening.
